The National Institute of Health is starting an investigation into whether or not women drink more during PMS. The NIH has spent more than $42,000 so far, and the study, being conducted by a graduate student at the University of Washington, will run through May 2017.
The study suggests that PMS is stressful, which causes women to drink more. But what if women were able to achieve more “mindfulness” during PMS through a calming habit like meditation? Would that help keep the drinking down?
